Primary School KS1 (years 1 & 2) 

Chinese Whispers Education offer Chinese mandarin language skills, to children up to the age of 12.

KS1 is for children from the age of 5 to 7 years old, in these sessions we aim to introduce children into a Chinese speaking environment using various fun and exciting games and rhymes, most of which have been design by ourselves. Introducing children at this young age will help in their development of the language in the future, giving them a better familiarisation of tones and sounds from our native speakers.

By teaching through fun games and songs, we are able to keep the children engaged for longer increasing their learning capabilities, and although they may not be able to create conversation yet, by sight and listening they will learn to differentiate words and tones, which will quicken their learning at a higher level.

These sessions will last 30 minutes, Every childs progress will be monitored so that we can get the best from each of them.

KS2 is for children from the age of 7 to 11 years old, in these sessions we aim to continue to introduce children into a Chinese speaking environment using various fun and exciting games, rhymes and interactive learning, most of which have been design by ourselves. The Introduction of a more structured learning will now encourage the children towards speaking and answering, also creating an understanding of small sentences different tones and sounds. Children at this age should find basic words in their vocabulary without visual prompting.

By teaching through fun games, songs and speaking, we are able to keep the children engaged but also letting their own personality aid their learning.
